The NHL and NBA postseason is underway and a few teams are already out. Plus, a former NBA top-2 pick lets it all hang out.

1. Forget Summer, The Postseason is the best season.
The back and forth do or die drama has been missing from this postseason, but it has given us tons to talk about.
We’ve seen Golden State come from 20 points down going into the fourth quarter, 17 points down with 7 minutes left defeat New Orleans and rid them of the playoffs a couple of nights later. Paul Pierce said about Washington Wizards’ first round opponent Toronto Raptors , “I don’t feel they have the ‘It’ that makes you worried.” Pierce proved his nickname The Truth to be accurate as the Americans swept the Canadians and moved on. Cleveland threw a haymaker, literally and knocked the Celtics out of the playoffs. In fact, the NBA playoffs have had their moments, but besides the San Antonio-Los Angeles Clippers series, the first round has been one-sided. Maybe it’s time the NBA go back to a best of 5 series in the first round, if, you know, money wasn’t the main deciding force.
In the NHL, we will be treated to best thing in all of sports; hockey’s Game 7. The New York, by way of Long Island, Islanders square off with the Washington Capitals to move on to the next round. Did we mention the St. Louis Blues, tied for the best record in the Western Conference is out! The Minnesota Wild took them down in 5. And if you’re scoring at home, yours truly and Michael Kasdan’s predictions for a Chicago Blackhawks-Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup Finals is still in play.
What will I remember the NHL NBA playoffs for, at the current juncture? The Dueling Heaves.
LeBron James
Dwight Howard
2. The Darko’s Night.
Ever wonder what Darko Milicic is doing these days after clinching the biggest bust by a second draft pick? Me neither. I think the video should speak for itself.
3. The bats aren’t going to pay for themselves.
Last Friday, Texas Ranger Adrian Beltre did not have a productive outing at the plate. Beltre went 0-3 against Angels starter Garrett Richards. But that wasn’t what upset Beltre, during his appearances at the plate, Beltre broke three bats.
Now there’s one thing we all know, never, never break another man’s bat!
To correct this wrong, Beltre sent Richards an invoice for the broken bats to the tune of $300. I’m surprised Richards got off that easy since most would say one’s bat is priceless, at least this one was.
Richards sent back a signed batting-practice bat, inscribing on it he hoped his bat would cover his debt.
No word yet on whether Beltre has accepted Richards’ counter offer.
